Testing the new keyboard

Well I finally came into the 21st century and I got a new computer...sort of. It's my Uncle's old Dell and it's lightyears better then my now retired Gateway. The Gateway and I had many good moments as I created alot of internet heat on that.

The great Rants, the idiotic postings, the heartfelt thoughts. It was all good.

So now I'm using this new computer and my Uncle gave mea Logitech keyboard with it. It has a different feel to use. I guess it's designed to prevent carpal tunnel in the years to come. I'll break it in eventually.

Ah well I have another blog of sorts at JoeDavisOnline.com

I intend to go back to my political writing over there. The FFADaily.net experiment didnt go as I planned, but never the less I did write some good non-wrestling columns despite what has been said elsewhere. I dont take sides, I just shoot from the hip. Take this anniversery of Roe vs. Wade. There's a story on Drudge right now about how South Dakota wants to pass a law outlawing Abortion outright.

Someone really wants to test Alito out when he gets on the bench. I honestly dont know where to stand on him. On the one hand he's clearly Pro-Life but on the other he seems to follow the letter of the law rather then his personal beliefs. But back to this bill, should it get passed it's for show only. There is no way in hell it would stand unless Roe vs. Wade is over turned and the powers that be will not allow that to happen. They'll allow for restricting the hell out of it to appease the far right, but they won't allow for it to be banned all together.

The way I see it, Abortion is a necessary evil. I'm all for parental notification and banning certain procedures unless it's medically necessary, but it would be a dark day if it were ever outlawed outright. When it comes down to it if Roe vs. Wade is over turned then it goes back to the states to decide. If you live in a red state expect severe restrictions. If you live in a blue state like me expect loose restrictions.

The only way it will become a crime would be if the congress pass a law that can stand up to the supreme court's ultimate review. So the days of coat hanger abortions aren't here just yet.

Ah well who cares. Oil is about to hit $70 a barrell and we will be at war with Iran by the summer at the latest if not earlier depending on how long the Israeli's patienice lasts.

So yeah Abortion wont be that important in the grand scheme of things in the near future. Iraq will seem like a fucking cake walk compared to what Iran will be like.
