Wow I've had this thing for almost two years and I'm only up to the 60th post on this thing. Well my output should be going up because today promises to be fun in the world of politics.
I write these blogs for reference in the future just to give a sense of what might have been going on. Well yesterday we got the political version of a challenge. President Bush in wrestling terms is working heel right now. He told the Democrats you will take my offer and like it because if you don't I'm gonna throw every procedure in the book at you. The Democrats responded by saying we'll see about that and tell Baby Huey Rove to be ready. What this is all coming down to is whether or not the white house ordered U.S. attorney's be fired for political reasons. Normally this isn't such a big deal because all US Attorney's are political appointees. But it's come out that one of the fired US Attorney's might have gotten a little to close to stumbling onto something involving Dick Cheney and The Dukester Randy 'Duke' Cunningham.
If your bored, you can read about it on wikipedia but do yourself a favor and google all the preticulars in the case to get a more objective and balanced look at the case. But when it comes down to it there is some evidence that Cheney paid $140,000 to this company for new computers and stuff and in turn this same company just happened to buy a yacht for $140,000 that the ceo let The Dukester use...so much so the named the boat The Dukester.
Alberto Gonzalez fired eight US Attorney's including the one who prosecuted The Duke. Bush is obviously now backing into a corner and for a guy who is as stubborn as he is we all should be very worried. We shall see later today (Wednesday March 21st, 2007) if the subpenoeas are issued for Rove and others and if Bush plays hardball and goes to war over this.
Oddly enough he's prepared to fight long and hard on this. Imagine if he had that same dedication towards that Bin Laden fellow or this Iraq thing.
